Full-Spectrum Analytics is a new approach to compiling and analyzing data. FSA programs build a unified dataset that merges data from across the entire enterprise, so that information from independent domains (e.g., finance, HR, CRM, etc.)is pulled together into one central dataset. Once data are compiled properly it's possible to run rigorous pretest-posttest comparisons that allow you to measure program effectiveness, compute ROI while controlling for confounding variables, quantify linkages between "soft" features of the corporate culture and "hard" performance metrics, and a host of similar tasks. The approach is useful whenever you want to measure the relationship between things that are relatively hard to measure (e.g., communication, leadership, teamwork, career development, ethics, etc.) and things that are easy to measure, such as profit, defect rates, number of injuries on the job, and the like. In short, FSA programs are helpful whenever you want to analyze the relationship between "soft" aspects of the corporate culture and "hard" performance metrics.
