Do companies use networking sites to recruit candidates for jobs? ? I have a profile on Facebook and LinkedIn, but I don't know if companies actually look at these. Is there a way to make my profile come up in more searches by recruiters?

Most recruiter are now using networking site for candidate sourcing. If you want to make your profile more and yourself more noticed get involved. That means join discussion group share ideas and post comments. When recruiter go looking for people on the the web those that show up as the experts are the go to person are the ones who get found the fastest. Also look to linking and developing your network. The more people you know the more people will know you.
